Some days you get a cool story to report on, and you feel fortunate. Today that story is one of our parts members, Arthur “Art” Musselman, Jr. Art has been with Leith Automotive Group since 2010 where he helps fulfill parts requested by customers. He also happens to be an extremely talented basketball player with several state and school records and coaching experience at North Carolina State University and Clemson University. Art was assistant coach at NCSU in 1974 when they won a men’s national championship.

Last week was especially important for Art as he was inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame. As the website reads, Art “scored 1,504 career points at The Citadel, which remained the school record for 25 years… by senior year averaged 17.7 points per game and was named 1st Team all-Southern Conference and 1st Team Collegiate all-state… currently second in school history in scoring and third in career rebounding… member of the 1962 United States Marine Corps All-Star Team and United States All-Star team… coached at Presbyterian College for five years.”

Art’s storied career in athletics is an inspiration to those of us who sit in chairs and write for a living, and illustrates that you never can tell a person’s story at first glance. If you see Art around Leith Toyota Scion these days, feel free to congratulate him on his recent achievement.
