If you’ve spent time researching cars on the Internet, you might have heard of Edmunds. They were one of the very first automotive websites to appear, way back when the Internet was struggling to its feet in the mid-90s. They saw the impact that instantaneous (if dial-up Internet could be called that) information sharing could have via this new thing called a “web browser.”
Today, they continue to innovate in digital tools while also providing an independent, third-party voice to the vehicles they drive. It’s therefore with pride that we can say that Edmunds.com has given the 2015 Toyota Camry and Land Cruiser its Top Rated Awards. Hooray!
A Top Rated award means that Edmunds tested the Camry and Land Cruiser on the road and on the track. They then ranked the vehicles in a range of categories, then compared their scores with similar vehicles in their respective classes. Those that rank at the top get the award.
You’ve heard a lot about the 2015 Camry from us this year, mainly because of its bold design. We took it on a test-drive, then published the results on our blog, making it one of our most successful posts in the past 12 months. Many think the new face on its front grille will become a signature for Toyota.
We haven’t written quite as much about the 2015 Toyota Land Cruiser, probably because we knew that if we drove it, we’d have a hard time giving it back. As Toyota’s response to another brand that starts with “L” and ends in “and Rover,” it is layered up with more comfort, power and more presence than James Earl Jones’ voice. And he’s Mufasa.
We totally see why the Camry and Land Cruiser earned these ratings from Edmunds.com. To check out either one for yourself, stop by Leith Toyota for a no-pressure test-drive.
