As we look back at 2013 for Leith Toyota, it’s apparent that it was a year of many cool things. To check what Toyota’s been most excited about, we combed through their Facebook page from January to December and selected the most newsworthy, interesting and just plain awesome moments of the year. Therefore we give you: the top four Toyota moments of 2013.

1. Five million hybrid sales worldwide

That’s a lot of hybrids. It means that you’re serious about protecting the earth for the next generation, and every generation after that. It means that we’re finding new ways to plan for the future. And it means that doing more with less is not only possible, it’s well under way.

2. The FCV concept

Hybrids are how we can help the environment from now, but what about the step that comes after that? The FCV concept was shown in Tokyo this year to demonstrate that a car that uses 0% gasoline is neither science-fiction, nor all that different looking from the other cars of tomorrow. In fact, they might even look cooler.

3. The 2014 Corolla reveal

As captured by the above video, this reveal was quite an event. Any company can roll-out a new car with a press release—it takes artistry to make the debut itself an exciting moment. Plus with the Collaborator Google Hangouts app, you can design your own Corolla!

4. The Corolla Furia concept

The Furia is interesting because it will likely be entirely designed and engineered in Japan, which is a great thing for a car that specializes in compactness. The concept shown off was very exciting and looks to occupy space between the Corolla and Avalon. We can’t wait.

So there you have it! Think we missed something? Comment and let us know what you think Toyota’s big moments for 2013 were. We hope you enjoyed our picks, and we look forward to seeing you in 2014. Happy New Year!
