Turns Out Lots of People Bought Toyotas In October

Although we don’t usually spend our free time looking at spreadsheets, we did notice that October was a productive month for Toyota, and we wanted to point out a few numbers in particular.

Toyota sales up by seven percent in October

Oftentimes it can be reassuring to know what other buyers are doing, and in this case, that’s buying Toyotas. As new 2015 models begin to arrive in showrooms, people are taking advantage of the advances that come with the latest and greatest.

Better fuel economy, more robust performance, smoother smartphone integration, and modern conveniences are what distinguish new Toyotas, along with a reputation for dependability. One of the most common expressions we hear when people drive a new Toyota is that it’s “like a spaceship,” (in a good way). People are blown away by the driving experience a new Toyota offers.

The 2015 Camry leads the way

Offering a redesign with striking new looks was a good idea as the new model’s sales were up double digits in October. In fact, the Camry was twice as popular as Toyota sales over all in October with a 14 percent jump. That wording is a bit confusing but hopefully you see what we mean: Toyota sales increased 7 percent, and the Camry specifically increased by 14 percent.

It goes to show that people are responding to the Camry and finding it a super viable competitor with other models. In the product-rich environment of the automotive industry today, that takes some doing. With automakers tripping over themselves to bring advancements to consumers, the one that leads the pack must be doing something exceptional.
